I'm Mathias Vandenbempt and I'm a 21-year-old graphic design student from Hasselt, Belgium. I am interested in graphic design in general, but have a special interest in corporate identity, font design, and visual communications.

BELGIE Typeface

BELGIE is the corporate typeface used for ‘kunstencentrum BELGIE’ (see here).
The typeface is basically a redesigned version of a free font called Bebas. The underlying grid was changed, and the font was made a little more humanistic so it would fit with ‘kunstencentrum BELGIE’. Missing glyphs were added, and changes were made to kerning and spacing.
